With the Aetna Premier Care Network Plus Multi-Tier (APCN Plus Multi-tier), you enjoy the same convenience and cost savings as the APCN and APCN Plus plans. And then some.
Here’s how it works:
- You already get a special network of providers specially chosen to give you high-quality care at lower costs. You can visit these providers to save the most.
- You can also take advantage of a second level of in-network care. For access to more providers at a slightly higher cost.
- Want to go out of network? You can even visit non-participating providers for a higher member cost-share.**
The power’s always in your hands. A quick search on our provider search tool lets you find providers who offer standard, and maximum savings.

Step 1: Visit our provider directory and go to the “Continue as guest” section.
Step 2: Enter your ZIP code to search.
Step 3: Choose the network your employer is offering. Either Aetna Premier Care Network, Aetna Premier Care Network Plus, or Aetna Premier Care Network Plus Multi-Tier. Then, choose one of two plans, Choice POS II or Open Access Select.
That’s it! Now you can search based on provider type and name. For APCN and APCN Plus searches, your search results will only show network providers. For APCN Plus Multi-Tier, you’ll see colored labels next to providers offering maximum and standard savings.
Once you’re a member, you’ll get a list of local doctors who participate. They all provide quality care at a lower cost. And you can tap into our member website to do even more.
